Tūtū’s Meatloaf

Jenavi is a student at Wilcox Elementary School and said "this dish is special to me because I love meatloaf and this one taste good!"


Ingredients:

Meatloaf:
2 1/2 - 3 lbsground beef
1large onion, chopped
1 tbspgarlic
1/4 tsppepper
1 tspsalt
1egg, beaten
1/2 cupbreadcrumbs
1/2 cupoats
3/4 cuptomato sauce
2 tbspWorcestershire sauce
Sauce:
8 tbspbrown sugar
4 tbspvinegar
4 tbspWorcestershire sauce
1 cupketchup

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Saute onion and garlic and set aside to cool
  3. Combine all meatloaf items and form into loaf on a foil-lined cookie sheet. Using either end of a chopstick, poke holes to the bottom -- all over the meatloaf.
  4. Combine all sauce items and heat to a low boil; pour ½ of the heated sauce over the raw meatloaf and bake for about 45 minutes. Cooking time may vary; internal temperature needs to be 160.
  5. At 45 minutes, pour the remainder of the sauce over the meatloaf and bake for 15 additional minutes
