Puto Bumbong -- Steamed Rice Sticky Logs

Ingredients:
Puto: | |
2 cups | glutinous rice |
1 tbsp | ube coloring |
1 cup | water |
optional | grated coconut |
optional | condensed milk |
optional | Star margarine |
optional | cheese |
Instructions:
- Add glutinous rice into a large bowl
- Add 1 tbsp ube coloring
- Add 1 cup of water
- Slowly mix it all together until it turns to dough
- Grate the glutinous rice with a cheese grater
- Cut nonstick foil into small rectangular shapes
- Put a small amount of Star margarine and place 3 scoops of the grated glutinous rice and fold
- Heat your steamer and place the wrapped glutinous rice
- Steam for 12 - 13 minutes
- After steaming, remove the rice from the foil
- Top with Star margarine, grated coconut, condensed milk and/or cheese
