Mini Pecan Tarts
Ingredients:
Tart Shells: | |
1/2 cup | butter or margarine, softened |
4 oz | cream cheese, softened |
1 cup | all-purpose flour |
Filling: | |
1 cup | pecan halves |
3/4 cup | packed brown sugar |
1 | egg |
2 tbsp | butter or margarine, melted |
1 tsp | vanilla |
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- Beat butter and cream cheese in a medium bowl until well-blended
- Add flour, mix until a soft dough forms. Shape dough into 1 inch balls.
- Place balls into ungreased wells of a mini-muffin pan
- Dip mini-tart shaper into flour; press dough with even pressure until dough rises slightly above rim of pan
- Combine pecans, brown sugar, egg, butter and vanilla. Mix well
- Fill each tart shell with 1 tbsp filling -- do not overfill
- Bake 20-25 minutes or until light golden brown
- Remove pan from oven and cool for at least 3 minutes
- Remove tarts from pan and cool completely
