Manju
Ingredients:
2 cans | An - sweet Japanese bean |
4 blocks | butter |
4 tbsp | sugar |
5 cups | flour |
½ cup | cold water |
1 | whisked egg |
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In a large mixing bowl, mix butter, sugar, flour and water to make dough
Form The Manju:
- Start with dough about the size of a golf ball and flatten to a 5” circle
- Add about 1 tablespoon of An to the center
- Fold over edges and seal
- Place manju on ungreased baking pan
- Brush egg over top and sides of manju
- Bake for 30 minutes
