Killah Kim Chee Soup
Ingredients:
2-3 pounds | ground turkey |
2 | onions, diced |
1 clove | garlic |
2 | Redondo Portuguese Sausage -- cut into 1/4 inch squares |
2 blocks | tofu, cubed |
2 pkgs | long rice noodles -- Nice brand |
2 bottles | kim chee -- Halms or Joe Kim |
To taste | oyster sauce |
To taste | Hawaiian salt |
To taste | black pepper |
To taste | green onion, optional |
Instructions:
- In a large 12" - 15" pot, cook ground turkey until fully cooked
- Add diced onions and stir until onions are transparent
- Add garlic and diced Portuguese sausage -- mix together until cooked
- Add oyster sauce, Hawaiian salt, and black pepper -- Not too much as you can always add more later
- Mix all of the above until “da aroma” is attracting the hungry
- Add water – about 3-4 inches from top of the pot
- Add kim chee -- must be Halms or Joe Kim!
- Add 2 blocks tofu and long rice
- Bring to a boil. Once long rice is cooked, it’s time to GRIND!
