Grandma’s Chi Chi Dango
Ingredients:
16 oz | mochiko flour |
2 cups | sugar |
13.5 oz | coconut milk |
13.5 oz | water |
1 tsp | baking powder |
1 tsp | coconut extract |
4+ drops | food coloring of choice |
1 bag | potato starch |
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Spray 8 x 10 pan evenly with cooking spray
- Stir mochiko flour, sugar, coconut milk, water, and baking powder together
- Add coconut extract and stir
- Stir in food coloring of choice
- Pour ingredients into greased pan and cover with tin foil
- Bake for 1 hour
- After 1 hour, turn off oven and leave pan in oven for 15 minutes
- Remove pan from oven
- Remove tin foil and let cool, approximately 2 hours
- Cut into pieces with a plastic knife or scissors
- Roll each piece in potato starch
- Enjoy!
