MĀHĀʻULEPŪ - Grove Farm completed repair work on the former cane haul roads that provide access to Māhāʻulepū beach and to the Makauwahi Cave Reserve. These roads provide continued access for kama'āina and visitors to enjoy the beach on the South Shore.

The project, which was completed on February 16, covered a stretch of over two miles of roads at a cost of $60,000, which was borne entirely by Grove Farm Company, Inc. Over time, these roads became eroded and were inaccessible in times of heavy rain and flooding.

Grove Farm allows continued access to these roads seven days a week between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. As a reminder, all visitors must exit the area prior to 6:00 p.m. daily. At times, the roads may be closed due to various reasons including security issues, bad weather, construction, harvesting activities, or brown water advisories.

As part of this $60,000 project, speed bumps were installed and the public is reminded to drive slowly and be mindful of others.

Grove Farm continues its commitment to sustainbale stewardship, leading Kaua'i's community and economic development, and preserving Kaua'i's precious resources.
